Unfortunately, earlier this week, iconic record store owner Robert Plotnik, aka Bleecker Bob, passed away. He had been in declining health since a stroke in 2001. He was 75 or 76. The shop existed in various forms after being established in 1967, and operated through 2013. David Bowie, Robert Plant, frank Zappa, and Lenny Kaye were known to shop there regularly.
